important
you have the
following items
with you:
Photo ID
A government-issued photo
ID ( drivers license, military ID,
etc.) is required by each adult
over 18 who will be touring an
apartment. This ID is left in the
office and returned after your
tour is over. This is for the safety
of the office staff.
Funds
When looking for an apartment
make sure you bring your check
book, debit card or credit
card. The only way to hold an
apartment is by putting down a
deposit and application fee. Just
remember the apartment you
fell in love with might be taken
by the next person that walks
through the door. Cash is not
accepted by any apartment so
you would have to get
money orders.
choosing your apartment. You
will be living there long after the
special is over.
Colorado Springs is a medium
size town and it takes an average
of 20 minutes to get to most
places. So open your options to
locations you might normally not
consider since travel time is not a
huge factor.
Affordable Housing
Affordable housing is a term
used to describe apartment
units whose total housing costs
are deemed "affordable" to
those having a median income.
When looking in the directory,
Affordable Housing properties will
have an income guide that will
help determine if you qualify for
affordable housing.
Preferred Employers
Many apartment communities
offer special discounts for some
of Colorado Springs' larger
employers. Be sure to ask the
apartment if your company is on
the preferred employer list.
