a career of more than thirty years, she has held numerous positions in the
public,not-for-profitandprivatesectors.Herparticularstrengthsareinthe
areas of organizational transformation, competitiveness, resource develop-
ment, regulatory reform, and governance.
KozbergisaRegentoftheUniversityofCalifornia,andchairsitsLong
RangePlanningCommittee.KozbergisatrusteeoftheJ.PaulGettyTrust
and a director of the California Community Foundation.
From1999to2002,KozbergwasPresidentandChiefOperatingOfficer
oftheMusicCenterofLosAngelesCounty,aperformingartscomplexthat
includestheDorothyChandlerPavilion,theAhmansonandMarkTaper
TheatresandtheWaltDisneyConcertHall.
From1993to1998,sheservedasCalifornia'sSecretaryofStateandConsumer
ServicesinGovernorPeteWilson'sCabinet.AsSecretary,Kozbergmanagedan
agencywith14,000employees,abudgetof$1.4billion,andtwelvedepartments
includingConsumerAffairs,GeneralServices,PublicEmployees'RetirementSystem,
FranchiseTaxBoard,BuildingStandardsCommission,StateTeachers'RetirementSystem,
andOfficeoftheInsuranceAdvisor.OnbehalfofGovernorWilson,shelaunchedandled
theConstructionIndustryRoundtable,Governor'sCouncilonInformationTechnology,
CompetitiveGovernment:ATransformationPlanforCaliforniaGovernmenttoReduce
BureaucracyandProduceResultsandtheTaskForceonCamarilloStateHospitalRe-use.
ShewasappointedtotheCaliforniaArtsCouncilin1986,servingasitsChairfrom1988
to1991andasitsExecutiveDirectorfrom1991until1993.
From1984through1988,KozbergservedasaSeniorPolicyConsultanttothenU.S.Sena-
torPeteWilson,specializinginentertainment,transportation,landuseandartsissues.She
alsoservedasCo-ChairofGovernorSchwarzenegger'sCaliforniaPerformanceReview
CommissionandmemberofLosAngelesMayorAntonioVillaraigosa'stransitionteam.
Kozberg has served in various other leadership and professional posts, including Execu-
tiveDirectoroftheCoroFoundationinSouthernCalifornia.ShealsoservedasSouthern
CaliforniaDirectoroftheNAACPLegalDefenseandEducationFund.

SheandherhusbandRoger,aninsuranceexecutive,liveinLosAngeles.Theyhavetwo
