DELTA CYLINDERS
Installation
Cold water supply
Delta Stainless unvented units are capable of delivering up to 55
litres per minute of hot water provided an adequate supply is
available. The minimum recommended supply should be 1.5 bar
and a flow rate of 25 litres per minute.
What boiler should I use?
To ensure peak performance and efficiency, the cylinder should
be connected to a gas or oil-fired boiler, ideally condensing. The
primary circuit must be pumped rather than gravity fed, but can
be either open vented or sealed.
Location
Our stainless cylinders can be sited virtually anywhere in the home,
providing the structure it will be sat on is capable of holding the
weight of a cylinder filled with water.
Connection diameters
Domestic side
Cold water inlet and hot water draw-off - 22mm
Primary side
Coil flow and return - 22mm
Safety valves
Temperature and pressure relief - 1/2" Inlet group - 22mm
Tundish
Inlet: 15mm
Outlet: 22mm (both compression)
Secondary return
Cylinder capacities 200 litres and above come with a dedicated
secondary return connection. For smaller cylinders, it is possible
to use a swept tee on the cold-water inlet to provide the same.
