The tombstone states Brian was born circa 1809. If we check his civil death record on, his year of birth is given as 1808. Both of these sources suggest the
baptism found for Brian in 1807 is correct:

State registered births, deaths and mar-
riages are held at the General Registers
Office and are useful records to use in
conjunction with parish records, providing
additional information such as occupation.
The civil records date from 1864 (and 1845
for non-Catholic marriages). The site
index of these records and many entries on
this site provide more than just the indexed
information. Unfortunately, marriage
records on this site are a little more limited
in that the index only usually provides the
name of the bride and groom separately.
