EDUCATION
AND TRAINING
Workshops
We provide training workshops to community organisations, government
agencies and employers that use real-life scenarios to help them
understand how the laws work to support healthy and productive
workplaces and better services.
We deliver an average of 500 workshops across Victoria each year, reaching
more than 8,000 participants. For example, we provide whole-of-council
training in a number of local councils and deliver tailored programs
in businesses across Victoria. We also provide advice on our laws to
community organisations to help them advocate effectively for the rights
of the people they represent.
Working with businesses
The Commission works with Victorian businesses in a number of ways to
ensure they understand their obligations to their employees, customers
and clients. We do this through our training and education functions, and
by providing them with resources to easily find what they need to know,
such as written guidelines on how to comply with the laws and a mobile
application to assist small businesses with compliance.
