TRANSPORTATION
Navigating Houston's 10,062-square-mile metropolitan area is a cinch with its easy-to-access interstates and
highways, a convenient airport system and endless transportation options.
AIRPORTS
Traveling to Houston has never been easier. As the country's fourth largest airport system, the Houston Airport
System serves over 180 cities worldwide, with Bush Intercontinental Airport ranking third in the United States
among airports with scheduled non-stop domestic and international service.
GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT (IAH) with more thaN 700 daily departures and 43 million
domestic passengers passing through its gates in 2015, Bush Intercontinental is the largest airport in
Houston. All five terminals are connected by an automated people-mover and underground train. WI-
FI internet, retail stores, and more than 50 food and beverage outlets ensure a pleasant visit. Visitor
information centers, a currency exchange booth, as well as ADA amenities are also available.
WILLIAM P. HOBBY AIRPORT (HOU) serves domestic, and recently international, destinations and has
seen significant increases in passenger numbers in recent years. WI-FI internet, retail stores and more
than 15 food and beverage outlets create a great travel experience.
SHUTTLES
SuperShuttle transports travelers to and from their private address, office, or hotel. Choose between a shared-
ride shuttle with fellow passengers headed in the same direction or book a non-stop shuttle just for you and
your party.
CAR RENTALS
Houston has a fleet of 30,000 rental cars with every major rental car company represented. Looking for

TAXI CABS
Houston has more than 2,400 taxis in its fleet. There are also 1,700
limos and town cars. The City of Houston has authorized a flat taxi
fare of $6 for all trips in the downtown area. This $6 fare will apply
anywhere within the Central Business District, bounded by Interstate
45, Interstate 10 and U.S. 59.
METRORAIL / BUSES
Need to get somewhere in Houston? For $1.25, the METRO offers
one-way service throughout the city. There's also METRORail, which
connects downtown Houston and NRG Park. The wheelchair-and-
stroller- friendly line also services Midtown, the Museum District,
Hermann Park and Texas Medical Center. www.ridemetro.org
RIDE-SHARING SERVICES
Houston was the first city in Texas to approve ride-sharing services.
These alternative transporation companies allow users to request a
ride via smartphone app. Drop off and pick up with be in Yellow Lot 37
located on Main Street at Gate 16.
