WINTER 2020

July 27, 2019, a section of the Westfield Topanga Mall was once again
transformed into multi-lanes of quarters, equivalent to a mile.
This annual fundraising event was a rousing success. With mu-
sic, an energetic emcee, dignitaries, and children's entertain-
ment throughout the day, families enjoyed the activities and the
opportunity to teach their children the value of contributing
and giving.
During the event, boys and girls helped lay quarters on the
colorful carpet while the DJ filled the mall corridor with music.
Children also enjoyed face painting, cotton candy, balloon
twisting, and free yoga classes for adults and kids.
Stacey Siegel, Director of Corporate and Public Affairs,
represented Keyes Automotive in accepting the commendations
from both the City of Los Angeles and the office of U.S. Con-
gressman Brad Sherman.
With a simple donation, companies and individuals
could lay down one foot of quarters or sponsor a Mile Marker
for $1,000. All donations and sponsorships support the Club's
programs for needy youths.
More than 2,500 children, be-
tween the ages of six and 17 years,
are members of The Boys and
Girls Club of the West Valley. For
them the club provides a safe place
to learn and grow, life-enhancing
programs and character develop-
ment experiences, hope and op-
portunity.
Hundreds of volunteer hours
and many, many quarters later, ap-
proximately $50,000 was raised in
support of the Club's programs!
