studentfocus What makes Boarding School special is the fact that everyone is so nice and friendly I think it is hard to find a school that has such loving people and that is one of the things that makes my school special. Pupils are pushed by teachers to perform to the best of their ability and teachers get to really understand the child and that enables the teacher to understand the way the person learns and how they approach things so that really helps in learning at Warminster School. What the food and sport is like - the food is amazing at the School and we have a variety to choose from. I really like the food we get served each day. Sport is fantastic at the School and is dealt with seriously; we play matches against other schools almost every weekend and it is an amazing experience. It is nice that sport is taken with a passion and isn’t overshadowed by academic learning, as it is just as important as learning academically. Highlights so far - One of my highlights so far at School was being able to play for the U14As rugby team, even though it was my first term of playing rugby. Another one of my highlights is being able to do tours, which is showing parents around the School. I feel like that is such a great experience as I am able to show parents what I love about the School. Another highlight was getting Confirmed and being prepared by the school chaplain, Reverend Prescott. The service was really nice and it was at Salisbury Cathedral, which was an amazing place to get confirmed in. How is the school different from my school in Nigeria? - The School is different from my school back in Nigeria in the aspect that co-curricular activities such as sport, music and drama etc are taken very seriously and there is a wider range of co-curricular clubs. At my school in Nigeria, it wasn’t regarded with as much importance and focus as it is here at Warminster School. We are taken on more excursions, which are fun and at the same time help learning a lot. We are also exposed to a lot more here than in my school in Nigeria, which helps us to be all-rounders.
