drummer Piet Breinholm walked around
Manhattan with his old leather schoolbag.
The bag received so many admiring
glances, that Piet got the idea to re-
launch the old classic bag. This is about
a decade ago, and today the schoolbag is
launched under the name "The Last Bag" in
his shop in Nansensgade No 48, and is
exhibited at the Danish Design Center.
For Ibsens Hotel exclusively, Piet
Breinholm has created a range of lovely
luggage tags in leather and in a wealth
of colours. The luggage tags are used as
key chains for the keys to the hotel
rooms. Ibsens Hotel has maintained the
old-fashioned keys, simply because we put
a virtue in wishing our guests a good
morning and a good evening.
"The Last Bag has always been charac-
terized by the local production and the
solid craftsmanship. This has generated a
lot of global interest, which is why the
cooperation with Ibsens Hotel seems
evident the hotel is right around the
corner and has many international guests.
The fact that it's not just me, but
several local players in the
neighbourhood that contribute to the
hotel, represents both tradition and
innovation which I very much appreciate",
