new content, so you may register for multiple courses and
learn new content.
Pesticide Applicator: Laws & Safety Exam
Review
A review of federal and state pesticide laws, regulations
and safe use to prepare for the Oregon Department of
Agriculture Laws & Safety exam. Registration deadline is 1/10
to receive pre-study material by mail. Students may pick up
material at COCC or in class after this date.

Pesticide Applicator: Herbicides Ornamental &

the Oregon pesticide certification exam in the Ornamental
Turf: Herbicide category. Prerequisite: Pesticide Applicator
Laws & Safety course or license. Registration deadline is 2/7

Pesticide Applicator: Right-of-Way Exam Review
Prepare for the Department of Agriculture Right-of-Way
exam in this 1.5 day class. Covers information about weed
biology, identification and control practices, herbicide
basics, pesticide application, right-of-way chemicals, and
laws and liability in preparation for taking Oregon's Right-of-
Way and Regulatory Weed Control licensing. Prerequisite:
Pesticide Applicator Laws & Safety course or license.
Registration deadline is 2/18 to receive pre-study material

Irrigation Basics
Learn to design, construct, repair and troubleshoot
residential irrigation systems. This course covers
basic hydraulic theory, how to obtain site information,
determine irrigation requirements and water supply,
select sprinklers and spacing ranges, and calculate
pressure requirements.
