WAKiNG THe SleePiNG GiANT The “no-dairy” dairy category is a really a sleeping giant. There are several items that already exist for the category – they are currently not merchandised (planogrammed) together or marketed together as a segment of the store. As retailers you are missing out on the additional dollars you could garner if you simply re-merchandise current product…and add some new, ontrend ones. For retailers who will be attending our Summer Selling and Product Innovations Show, we will have a preview of the new planogram that will be rolling out in the early spring. It is a simple concept but I think it will garner great dividends. The planogram is broken up in to key segments of the dairy category: non-dairy beverages, cheese alternatives, spreads, and yogurts; and will include some long-standing no dairy brands like Blue Diamond and So Delicious, but we’ll also have some up-and-coming brands such as Treeline cheese, Daiya, and Go Veggie. Here’s some more details on some of the brands that will be featured in the section:
