the art program, encouraging students to explore unique
mediums, all revealing God-given creativity.
These are just a few of the ways we try to encourage our
students to share all of their gifts and talents. Students
have given in the past and continue to give back to their
community by raising funds and also working with various
organizations in the area. Through fundraising events stu-
dents have raised money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters,
cystic fibrosis, MS, and many other local charities.
CACHS is continually trying to keep in touch with its alumni
through events, newsletters, and our website. As we learn
their stories and how they are using their gifts, we show our
current students how alumni have been transforming and
contributing to the local and broader community.
CACHS has fluctuated in size since the beginning. Al-
though we sometimes have the desire to expand and grow,
we realize that our relatively small numbers make us who
we are. We have been blessed richly each year, and God
knows our needs.
The component that gives us hope for the future is God's
faithfulness. From our humble beginnings we have estab-
lished a tradition of faith-based learning that has blessed
hundreds of students. It is with the assurance of God's
calling to "teach our children the ways of the Lord" that we
move forward with eager expectation.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Central Alberta Christian
High School Society is to provide a biblical, Christ-centered
education based on Reformed creedal standards. The school
will strive to serve students of differing abilities by providing a
balance of academic and practical courses leading towards
an Alberta high school diploma. It will challenge students to
analyze and critique cultural and moral issues from a scrip-
tural perspective as they develop their God-given talents.
The school community will provide a nurturing environment
in which students will be able to express their faith as
Christians in society.
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are
young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in
conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)
In 1989 a small, dedicated group of parents met to dis-
cuss the need for Christ-centered education at the high
school level in central Alberta. Soon a school society was
incorporated, and Central Alberta Christian High School
(CACHS) was transformed from idea to reality. The years
that followed have seen the school grow from its humble
beginnings to a well-established school with strong pro-
grams and a modern facility. God has richly blessed those
early efforts, and the present board and administration are
continually seeking ways to build upon our strengths as
we educate students for kingdom service in the light of his
Word. We are presently making plans for a 25th anniver-
sary celebration next year. Details will be included in our
newsletters and also on our website.
At CACHS we recognize all people as God's image bear-
ers and emphasize the unity of the body, mind, and spirit
in each individual. All activities at CACHS, both inside and
outside the classroom, reflect this. One of the programs
that has allowed students to discover where they can use
their God-given talents is the Registered Apprenticeship
Program. This program supports students who learn well
through on-the-job training and desire a career that is
more hands on. It allows students to earn credits toward
graduation while in high school and at the same time begin
careers in the trades.
One of the more popular classes that have been added
lately is Sports Performance. This class has allowed stu-
dents the opportunity to focus on a healthy lifestyle through
a variety of activities. A second addition is an expansion of
