Why Christian liberal arts?
A Christian liberal arts education involves more than prepa-
ration for a career. A Trinity Christian College education
broadens students' critical thinking and life skills far beyond
the concentration of their major.
Business majors recall the important questions posed in
philosophy as they ask the important questions necessary
for building a company. Nursing majors draw on psychol-
ogy courses to care for patients hurting emotionally, not just
physically. Theology majors understand how the wonders of
science point to the Creator.
A Trinity education prepares students on many levels, equip-
ping them with the skills employers value as well as the kind
of learning that expands their perspective on the world as
they focus on their calling.
During their four years, Trinity students:
· Participate in hands-on professional training or in-depth
research through local and Chicago-based internships
and field education.
· Prepare for further study in graduate school through col-
laborative research with professors.
· Grow in their relationship with Christ through fellowship
with other believers, small-group and community wor-
ship, and service to others at home and far away.
· Immerse themselves in diverse cultures though study
abroad programs.
· Delve into the cultural, learning, and job opportunities in
the global city of Chicago.
What can I study?
At Trinity Christian College, students choose from more than
70 programs of study that are centered on God's Word and
taught by dedicated professors. Study abroad semesters
in countries like Ecuador, Kenya, Spain, and many others
broaden a student's global perspective.
What kind of community will I live in?
Trinity offers a community where students form lifelong
friendships and grow in their faith while participating together
in worship, student activities, and service projects.
What is the benefit of being located near Chicago?
Just 30 minutes from Trinity's suburban campus, Chicago is
a hub for cultural experiences such as theaters, museums,
dining, and sporting events that will enhance a student's col-
lege experience. In the Chicago Semester Program, students
gain professional experience through living and working in
the city for an entire semester.
How will I pay for college?
Committing financially to a high-quality Christian education
is a major decision. Trinity's Financial Aid Office will partner
with you to make a Trinity education possible. More than 98
percent of traditional undergraduate students receive finan-
cial aid. Freshmen who entered Trinity in the fall of 2013 had
an average of 62 percent of their tuition covered by scholar-
ships, grants, or waivers.
How is Trinity Christian College ranked?
U.S. News & World Report's 2014 "Best Colleges" list ranked
Trinity 28th among the 367 Regional Colleges--Midwest.
The U.S. News list considers several criteria, including
graduation and freshmen retention rates, faculty resources,
and financial resources. Trinity also ranked 8th in Campus
Ethnic Diversity: Regional Colleges--Midwest.
The college also made the 2013 "Best Bang for the Buck
Ranking," Washington Monthly's list of 48 baccalaureate col-
leges in America that do the best job of helping students of
modest means attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
More about Trinity Christian College
The mission of Trinity Christian College is to provide a
biblically informed liberal arts education in the Reformed
tradition. Our heritage is the historic Christian faith as it was
reshaped in the Reformation, and our fundamental basis
of governance and instruction is the infallible Word of God,
as interpreted by the Reformed standards. The Reformed
worldview affirms the biblical truths that creation is the work
of God, that our world has fallen into sin, and that redemp-
tion is possible
only through
the gracious
work of Christ.
From these
beliefs arise
the convictions
that those who
teach and learn
are called to
be co-workers
with Christ in
subjecting all cultural activities to the reign of God, and that
genuine education must involve the whole person as a think-
ing, feeling, and believing creature.
