Dulwich College
"The pupils'
achievements in
their academic
studies and extra-
curricular pursuits
are exceptional."
ISI Inspection Report
Dulwich College is a vibrant
and high-achieving community
of day boys and boarders from
age 7 to 18. In 1619 Edward
Alleyn founded the College to
provide education and lodgings
for 12 scholars; today we have
140 boarders from the UK
and 25 countries from around
the world. We are academically
selective, but diverse in our
breadth of talents, character
and backgrounds. It is this
social mix that makes
Dulwich a special place.
Situated in 70 acres, yet only
12 minutes by train from central
London, Dulwich College enjoys
outstanding academic, co-
curricular and sporting facilities,
including a 2017 RIBA National
Award-winning Science and Arts
building, The Laboratory.
Dulwich has a tradition of
inspired teaching and genuine
scholarship; pupils from
the College join the most
competitive of universities
worldwide and thereafter
enter all the major professions,
with many choosing Medicine,
Engineering and the Law.
We see co-curricular activities as
vital to a rounded education as
witnessed in the 60+ clubs and
societies on offer. Music, sport
and drama play an integral part
in the boys' lives, both within the
curriculum and beyond.
Dulwich has a reputation for
producing actors, musicians,
sportsmen and writers; many
students now go on to engage
in entrepreneurial, technological,
cybernetic and innovative
enterprises too.
Through a broad range of
activities - academic, sporting
and co-curricular - we enable
boys to become confident,
courteous and responsible
individuals at ease with
themselves and ready for the
challenges of the world.
