Boarding at Dulwich...
Has taught me so many valuable life lessons that will stay with me forever.
I started at Dulwich College in Year 9 as
a weekly boarder. At first, I was not too
sure of what to expect but during the
first couple of weeks, I received a lot of
support from the boarding staff and I
quickly realised that they were always
open to listen to me, and I could talk
to them about anything, at any time.
The boarding community is very
international, it is filled with people from
many cultures and backgrounds, from all
over the world.
I'm in Year 10 but I spend time with my
friends in all year groups and some of
my closest friends are in Year 13 and
we get loads of opportunities to get to
spend quality time with each other.
The boarding house has a huge garden
(which is also a part-time football stadium!)
and the Sports Centre is really close.
There are trips most weekends and we
go into London a lot, it only takes 10
minutes on the train. Some of the best
trips I've been on were to GoApe, the
theatre and to Westfield.
I think that the best way to
describe boarding at Dulwich is
it is just like being at home.
The boarding house is an amazing place,
where you can relax, take your mind off work
and do so many fun things, such as cooking
and seeing friends.
