Organizing The Hub Projects
Y
our Hub projects are designed to be used in conjunction with the folders
and files from
The Hub Resource CD. These folders and their files must
be copied to the computer (or network drive) that you will be working on.
Your teacher will direct you to the location of the
The Hub folder. This folder
contains
project folders for each section of The Hub simulation. You will be
instructed to save your work files into each activity's respective folder.
Additionally, the
Logos folder contains The Hub logo graphics needed to
complete certain projects.
Organizing and Saving Your Project Files
It is important that project files are named properly and saved in the correct
folders on your computer or network drive throughout this simulation. You will
be provided with specific instructions in each project about how and where to
save each file. Once you have access to
The Hub folder, familiarize yourself
with its structure and contents:
note for TEACHERS
The Hub simulation
comes with
The Hub
Resource CD, which
contains the following
two main folders:
The Hub
This folder contains the
project folders into
which students will save
their work.
It also includes the
Logos folder with
versions of The Hub
logo that students will
use throughout this
simulation.
Copy The Hub folder
(with its contents) onto
students' individual
computer workstations
or onto a network
drive. Direct students
to the location of The
Hub folder and its
use throughout the
simulation.
Instructor
Resources
DO NOT COPY this
folder onto student
workstations. This
folder contains the
Instructor's Guide and
project answer key
files. It is for classroom
instructors only.
Logo Files
Since you will be creating materials to promote
and manage The Hub, it is important to utilize its
indentity--The Hub logo--when appropriate.
The
Logos folder contains several graphic file-
types for each of the logo's four options: the
complete logo, or The Hub name only, in either
color or black.
Your choice of logo will depend on your creative
concept and the graphic tools used. Each logo
version is available as a JPEG, TIFF,
EPS, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe
Photoshop file.
