(2-gal) Photo: Source WISTERIA macrostachya ‘Blue Moon’ $44.00 15’-30’ z4 Blue Moon Wisteria Cascading trusses of showy, lilac flowers with powder-blue tones dangle gracefully through pergolas and arbors like footlong clusters of grapes. Sweet, intense fragrance. Can bloom three times in a season, very heavily in June with succeeding flushes of flowers, the last appearing as late as September. ‘Blue Moon’ was selected in Minnesota, from the American native Kentucky Wisteria. It is the hardiest and the fastest growing choice for northern climates. Give it sun and moist, well-drained soil. Leaves emerge coppery-bronze in spring and turn yellow in the fall. Most wisteria takes years to mature enough to begin its bloom cycle, but ‘Blue Moon’ blooms and reblooms on very young plants. It is also much smaller and less rambunctious than the Asian wisteria. Grow it as a groundcover or provide very strong support for it to climb. Attracts hummingbirds and is deer resistant. Prune after flowering. (3gal) Photo: Source www.wild-things.ca 135 1-877-538-3228
