Daisy-like flowers with drooping petals in rich shades of crimson, mahogany, copper, orange, gold, yellow and red and practically every bicolour in between. Centres range in colour from golden-yellow to deep mahogany-brown. Flowers are produced on tall, sturdy stems from midsummer to frost. Excellent cut, and cutting prolongs the bloom season. Easy to grow in moist, fertile soil in sun to part shade, though we have also experimented successfully with them in very hot, dry, poor soil. These are among our favourite plants - definitely in our top 10 - for their easy-going ways and late, brilliant flowering.
