HOSTA ‘Wheee!’ 15” x 30” Medium $25.95 Wheee!' erupts in the spring with surprising twisty, curly hosta shoots. The green leaves with creamy white margins are long and narrow and lavishly ruffled from the tip to the base of the stem. Excellent substance and a fast grower. This hosta was found in a trash heap and named Wheee! because that's what the owner's wife said whenever she walked by. Lilac flowers. Photo courtesy Walters Gardens, Inc. HOSTA ‘Whirlwind’ 20” x 40” Large $11.95 Whirlwind is a standout in any collection for its variegation and wavy, unruly mound. Dark green, streaked margins. Leaf centre undergoes continual colour changes, from white with green splashes to very pale green to deep, dark green. Lends a sense of motion to the shade garden. One of our top sellers. HOSTA ‘Wishing Well’ 23” x 40” Large $17.95 Beautiful blue leaves. ‘Wishing Well’ holds its blue long into the season, when other blue hostas have darkened to green. Plus, the blue colour will show in more shade than other varieties. I was sold on this one when I first saw it in late in the season in a collector’s garden where its blueness beckoned in the midst of hundreds of other hosta. The leaves are huge and thick, with excellent slug resistance and they display an attractively cupped, rippled, corrugated texture. A fast and vigorous grower. Near-white flowers.
