HOSTA ‘Blueberry Muffin’ 14” Medium $12.95 Long-lasting powdery-blue leaves deepen to blue-green late in the season. A strong grower and reliable performer. Rounded, puckered leaves. Mauve leaf stems add to this hosta's interest and mauve flower stems carry lavender blossoms. The longer I grow this one, the more I like it. One of the best blues available. The superb blue colour develops best in part to full shade. Near-white flowers in dense clusters. Excellent substance. The leaves are edged in pie crust waves and have deeply impressed veins just like its parent, the everpopular, multiple award winning ‘Niagara Falls’. Mine has exhibited good slug resistance and an excellent growth rate. Very, very showy. Light lavender flowers. The third hosta in this series, Angel Falls, which exhibits the reverse variegation of Bridal Falls is also available in 2017 at Wildthings. Forms a large clump of thick, nearly round, heavily corrugated and puckered leaves which emerge chartreuse with a slightly rippled blue margin in spring and brighten to gold with a deep green margin. A great hosta from Olga Petryszyn, one of my favourite breeders which becomes even lovelier as it matures. Excellent slug resistance. Pure white flowers.
