1.2.2. Research and Development
The project included socio-economic research tasks dealing with user preferences and experiences, analysis
of public planning and regulatory work in relation to the promotion of sustainable building practices.
Besides technical development work of 6 key low-energy technologies, monitoring and analysis work and
activities aimed at supporting the the application of the European Ecolabel ­ the EU-flower for building
materials and components.
1.2.3. The training and dissemination.
The training part of the Class1 project aims to train and inform about low energy building towards three
target groups: Technical personnel in the administration of a municipality, building professionals and users.
In the previous periods, training material for the first two target groups was completed. In this period,
training towards these groups was conducted in France and Italy and the training material was translated.
In addition, a user's workshop was held in Egedal.

professional journals and conferences are available for download. Currently 36 reports, 10 newsletters and
11 papers/presentations made for conferences can be downloaded from the website.
"Guided tours" for Danish at the Stenløse South area. Egedal has informed about the Class1 project at
many occasions for visitors either for other municipalities or from foreign countries and building
